'Oh hey that body of water looks like a great place to swim!' It's contaminated with mercury and twelve other heavy metals. There's signs everywhere. How did you miss this?

'I only need a small water bottle for a five-hour hike!' Buddy. Pal. I can pull that off, because I am chronically dehydrated and somehow survive it. (It's the fat, I think.) But trust me, normal people cannot do that, and even I drink water when I stop for lunch. You are normal. You will die slow.

'Hey, Pyramid Lake looks cool!' The local tribe has an entire set of stories about how if you hear babies laughing, the next day you will die on the lake. And at least one boat gets pulled under a year. The park has warning signs about that plastered all over it. Yeah, sure, riptide--but honestly, that lake even looks like it's gonna kill you, it has no greenery at all around it, it's just water and then desert, how are you this stupid?

'Aww, that bear looks so CUDDLY!' You know what, you're clearly unsaveable. Give me your kid, I'll find them a home with a loving adult who explains that forks don't go in light sockets. We'll hold your funeral. Your kids' new adult can explain that some people are just meant as a warning to others. They'll grow up to appreciate your sacrifice. We all will. You will serve as an example to future tourists to just, for the love of fuck, stay in the damn cities. At least there someone will stop you from ANNOYING A GODDAMN BEAR.

Really. If you come to Nevada, just...stay where there's sidewalks. You'll end up less dead.

with another fire burning—and ICE making their rounds —i hope anyone in the LA county and surrounding areas are staying safe and aware, it’s getting a bit more terrifying as the hours roll by and i can see the smoke from all sides now,

i’m still pretty out of reach of the fires but that can change at the slightest weather change and i’m just praying that they don’t get closer, but please if you’re in these areas, stay safe and vigilant, keep the LAFD and all the other firefighters from different states in your thoughts

(reposted from my server, circa 11/6/24.) — I wish I had anything to say that could help. Something that could dull the ache of this outcome, or to take away the pain of this waking nightmare. My heart is breaking I’m so sorry for everyone this will hurt and worse. But all I can tell you is that I love you. I love you for you, whether you're gay, trans, black, white, nonbinary, or anything else. You are beautiful and you are heard no matter what these results want to indicate.

I know it's so fucking hard to see through the darkness in this time but I promise you that no political fight ends with an election. Shout your feelings out loud and cling against the torment claw with all your might for any win, any step, any small victory— because there are already so many people fighting. That's not gonna stop any time soon, because this is a fight people have been fighting since before we were born. It is always possible for change as long as we don't give up.

No matter what happens, we're in this together. You will survive this. You will not be silenced. We will always be here. 4 years or 400, now and tomorrow. We have always existed and we always will. No matter how hard the world tries, do not let them unlearn about you. They cannot. We are too bright. We are too present. We are too loved.

I'll be here tomorrow. I am here now. I am listening. And I love you more than anything. You are my friends, and although that is a word I do not use lightly towards anyone, I wholeheartedly mean it. Please stay with me.

from a vibes perspective, i totally understand why so many people look at keefe and go ‘this guy would be the male equivalent of a wine aunt when he’s older’. 

but. but. 

taking lore into consideration, in my heart, he’s terrified of alcohol (even if he tries really hard to hide it). because. like. his first exposure is almost guaranteed to be through cassius, and cassius canonically threw a glass extremely close to him at least once when he was, like, 8. maybe cassius wasn’t always extra nasty when he was drunk, but there’s gotta be a correlation in keefe’s brain between risking getting seriously hurt (emotionally or physically) and alcohol consumption that’s really hard for him to shake.

Do not pretend that they care even a little about the horrific events that unfolded today. They just needed an excuse to stand behind as they rioted.

They are using the same disgusting rhetoric that was used against us for centuries. Signs with statements like "No cats, no dogs, no Irish" were hung in windows in England as well as the States. They are nothing but bigots, bigots who know nothing of their own history. Immigrants are not the issue.

They're complaining about the gardaí not saying that it's a terrorist attack, when this horrific incident only happened less than 12 fucking hours ago. It's still under active investigation, an investigation that they are very much hindering by them rioting as a result of their outrage. If we want the man responsible to face justice, a thorough investigation is needed so that his lawyers can't turn around and argue, "actually just hours after the attack before a proper investigation was begun, a garda called this a terrorist attack. There is no evidence of this, nor does the evidence gathered later as part of the investigation indicate that this meets the criteria of a terrorist attack outlined in the criminal justice act. Gardaí labelling my client as a terrorist has made an impartial objective jury impossible." The state could lose their case if everything is not done explicitly by the book. Defence lawyers have to do their job, just as the gardaí do. Gathering evidence and doing their job, which takes time, is what the gardaí were trying to do before they themselves got attacked.

I'm beyond disgusted by these people. I'm just horrified. I'm pissed that they are using these children as an excuse to be bigoted.

I pray to God that those harmed will make full recoveries. They should be the sole focus.

I honestly don't know if it's okay or not and if I'm being offensive mean or anything please tell me but I have an idea for an au and I wanna share it. okay so if you know about what DID is. how do you feel about. a character with a DID au but all of his alters are versions of this character from different aus?

like, personally, I have over 20 au versions of scar goodtimes and for some reason my mind is just. yeah what if they were all alters for a scar from like a modern+fantasy au. where my little boy just need his support au scar squad to help him get through tough life...

call me crazy I deserve it (for having so fucking many aus and being so crazy about crossovering them) but like I already know which roles would some of the scars have and why and how would they act... this just makes me feel so soft ngl.
